Fanie van Zyl Studio

Fanie van Zyl qualified as an industrial designer in 2009 but was drawn to interior design by his love of furniture and craftsmanship. Fanie’s training gives him a unique understanding of design and manufacturing along with a comprehensive knowledge of materials and process.

Fanie’s aesthetic favours elegant simplicity with a focus on quality and longevity. He is inspired by classical modern design and colours from built and natural environments. His interiors juxtapose raw materials such as marble, wood, brass and steel with surprise bursts of colour, creating distinctly contemporary spaces.

Working across residential and commercial projects, Fanie accommodates each client’s specific requirements. His approach focuses on facilitating design solutions that allow a client’s unique style and personality to be expressed through the environment they inhabit.
